National Grid final week of events
- Final week of public events – chance to meet the team and ask any questions
- Virtual reality headsets and 3D computer model show what the second connection could look like
- Have your say before consultation closes on 16 December 2016
National Grid is encouraging people to take part in the final week of its consultation events and find out more about its proposals to connect Wylfa Newydd to the electricity transmission network.
The events provide people with the chance to meet the team and ask any questions they have. At the events there are a whole range of ways people can see what the connection could look like through the use of virtual reality head-sets and a 3D computer model. This lets users search by postcode and see specific sections of the route from their address.
Gareth Williams, Senior Project Manager, said:
“This is likely to be our last consultation on the whole connection so it’s really important people come and talk to us and give us as much detailed feedback as they can.
“We’re really keen for as many people as possible to come and see us and we have a number of larger events in community halls, consultation vehicle and pop up events happening over the next week.
